Authors are invited to submit high-quality manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments on topics related to the workshop. Simultaneous submission to other conferences and workshops with published proceedings is not allowed.

The submission deadline of January 25, 2008 has been extended to 8:00AM EST, Monday January 28.

All papers will be peer reviewed and comments will be provided to authors.

It is required that at least one author of every accepted paper be present at the workshop to present the paper.

WEA authors may be interested the following papers on methodology for experimental algorithmics.

• A Theoretician's Guide to the Experimental Analysis of Algorithms by David S. Johnson
• Algorithm Engineering by Camil Demetrescu, Irene Finocchi, and Guiseppe F. Italiano.
• How to Present a Paper on Experimental Work with Algorithms by Catherine C. McGeoch and Bernard M.E. Moret.
• Presenting Data from Experiments in Algorithmics by Peter Sanders

Papers should not exceed twelve (12) SINGLE-column and SINGLE-spaced pages of text, using at least 11 point size type, including references, figures, tables, etc. Material omitted due to space constraints may be put into an appendix to be read by the program committee members at their discretion; however this practice is not encouraged. Submissions deviating significantly from these guidelines risk rejection without consideration of their merits. Electronic submissions should be formatted in pdf or ps.

Accepted papers will appear in the WEA 2007 proceedings published by Springer Verlag in the LNCS series. Therefore it is highly recommended to use the Springer LNCS LaTeX style format available at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.

WEA uses EasyChair for submissions and program management. To submit a paper (in ps or pdf format) please follow the instructions at the EasyChair WEA08 site. The submission server will be turned off at 8:00AM, EST, Monday January 28.

Acceptance/rejection notices will be sent to authors via e-mail by March 1, 2008.

The deadline for receipt of papers in final version is March 20, 2008. Instructions for preparing the camera-ready versions of the papers will be sent to the authors after the acceptance notification. Presenters must have submitted the final versions of their papers in order to be able to present them at the workshop.
